When was wrestlemania 29

Later that night, Kane defeated Punk in a No Disqualification Match, before Undertaker came to the stage to perform his signature taunt with Kane to honour Bearer.

Punk interrupted this by hitting Kane with The Undertaker's urn, which prompted Undertaker to chase him away, and Punk escaped with the urn. On the March 18 episode of Raw, The Undertaker came to the ring to tell Punk he had one chance to return Undertaker's property, but was interrupted by Punk on the TitanTron, who further boasted about being the one to "snap the streak" while nonchalantly tossing the urn in the air.

Orton and Sheamus accepted, then recruited Ryback as their third man. The following Monday on Raw , Vickie Guerrero pulled Ryback from the 6-man tag team match and put him in a singles match with Henry. After winning a match on the March 18 episode of Raw , Sheamus and Orton were about to be assaulted by The Shield, but then Big Show - who had also been brutalized by The Shield - stepped into the ring, causing The Shield to retreat, and on SmackDown that week, Sheamus, Orton and Big Show were teamed together by Booker T to test their teamwork in a six-man tag match against 3MB, in which they were victorious.

Following the match, The Shield came to the ring to confront the victors before retreating once again. During the brawl, Lesnar's head was busted open and required 18 stitches. Fandango made numerous appearances throughout the WWE, but never competed in his matches because announcers and other superstars repeatedly mispronounced his name or did not say it with the right kind of "feel" he liked. This caused Fandango to interfere in Jericho's match with Jack Swagger and attack him after.

Jericho had just been attacked by Big E. Langston before Fandango came to the ring. Miz and Barrett had been trading jabs back and forth about which of them was the better actor, as Miz had starred in The Marine 3: Homefront , and Barrett had a minor role in the film Dead Man Down. After defending his title in a triple threat match against Miz and Chris Jericho on the March 18 episode of Raw , Barrett continued the feud with Miz after he shoved him on Main Event on March 20, which caused Miz to retaliate.

On the March 25 episode of Raw , Miz won against Barrett in a non-title match via submission, thus earning him a championship match against Barrett and a chance for his second Intercontinental Championship. The match took place in the pre-show before WrestleMania. As the referees tended to Ryback, Henry came back for more, which turned out to be a huge mistake.

Ryback suddenly woke up, hit Henry with a spinebuster and landed a big Shell Shocked to bring the interesting battle to an end. Although this battle was fairly short just over seven minutes, shorter than Ryback vs. Henry , it featured a lot of really impressive spots from each wrestler, most notably Langston and Daniel Bryan, who got a little bit of WrestleMania redemption. In the end, A. Lee distracted the referee so Ziggler could attack Kane with his briefcase, but he missed and was met with a gargantuan chokeslam instead.

Bryan then tagged in and connected with the headbutt from the top rope for the win. Afterwards, Bryan got his moment with a huge "yes" chant from the crowd via Michelle Beadle :. There were some fine moments in this match—Fandango's big leg drop off the top rope, Jericho being classic Jericho—but this will be remembered for the sloppy finish. After Fandango missed an attempt for a second leg drop, Jericho went for the Lionsault but overshot it although it didn't look like his fault.

He then went for the Walls of Jericho, but sold a knee injury and Fandango was able to roll up the former World champ for the win. Overall, it spoiled what was looking like a thrilling match, but Fandango got the push many were expecting. This certainly wasn't the most uptempo match you'll ever see, but it's difficult to deny the talented wrestling that took place inside the ring. Del Rio and Swagger both showcased power, athleticism and a slew of good ol' fashioned, technically strong moves.

Del Rio retained when he forced Swagger to tap out from the cross armbreaker, and once again, Ziggler disappointingly didn't cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Undertaker controlled the action for the first few minutes, but Punk turned things with a deep arm drag when 'Taker went for the Old School from the ropes. Moments later, Punk continued his psychological games by landing 'Taker's classic move via Bleacher Report's Brian Mazique :. Punk earned several nearfalls. Things moved outside, where 'Taker was placed on the Spanish announcers' table.

Punk went with the flying elbow from the top rope and landed it, but the table didn't break which probably hurt each wrestler even more. Back inside the ring, Undertaker hit Punk with the Tombstone, but once again, he amazingly kicked out. After the ref was knocked out, Punk drilled 'Taker with the urn and appeared set to end the streak with the classic hands-folded-on-the-heart pin , but once again, he kicked out after two-and-a-half counts.

There aren't many words that do this match justice. It was easily Match of the Year worthy. Did you know Edit. Due to the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar and Undertaker vs. CM Punk matches both running longer than expected, the tag match did not take place on the pay-per-view, but was held on the April 8th edition of Raw, with Tons of Funk getting the win.
